Camelia Mazard is a partner focusing in Antitrust, International Trade Regulation and Hospitality Law.

She counsels a range of clients, including multi-national corporations and trade associations, regarding compliance with federal antitrust rules and advises both U.S. and foreign companies in the federal merger review process. She also represents companies involved in civil and criminal investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice and in federal and state private antitrust litigation.

 

Camelia represents clients on issues related to mergers and premerger notifications both inside and outside the United States and in front of federal and state antitrust regulatory agencies. She also provides antitrust and regulatory advice and counseling to risk arbitrage managers of various institutional banks and investment funds.

 

Camelia ​also practices in all areas of international trade and customs law. In fact, she participated in many of the major trade disputes over the past twenty years. Her cases include safeguards investigations of steel; the China Section 301 investigation; antidumping investigations of prestressed concrete steel strand from the Ukraine; mattresses from Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam; common alloy aluminum sheet from India and Italy; passenger vehicle and light truck tires from Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam; metal lockers from China; cold-rolled steel from the Netherlands; hot-rolled steel from India; grain-oriented silicon electric steel from Italy and Japan; metal calendar slides from Japan; magnesia carbon bricks from China and Mexico; silica bricks and shapes from China; and, countervailing duty investigations of metal lockers from China; hot-rolled steel from India and magnesia carbon bricks from China.

In addition, Camelia represented domestic and international clients with respect to import and export transactions and NAFTA issues and has experience representing private parties and sovereign governments before U.S. courts and international arbitral tribunals.
